The short version
We are a small home bakery, not a data company. Here is the whole thing in five lines:
- We collect only what we need to bake your order and hand it to you: your name, phone, email, pickup choice and what you ordered.
- We never sell, rent or trade your information. Ever.
- We do not run ads, analytics or tracking cookies on this site.
- Card payments are handled entirely by Square. We never see or store your card number.
- Want your information removed? Email us and we will take care of it.
1. Who we are
Kevkat Bagels, LLC (“Kevkat Bagels,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a home-based bakery in Solon, Ohio selling bagels for local pickup. This policy explains what happens to your information when you visit kevkatbagels.com or place an order through it.
If anything here is unclear, please just ask us at orders@kevkatbagels.com.
2. What we collect
Information you give us when you order
- Your name, so we know whose order it is.
- Your phone number and email address, so we can confirm the order or reach you if something changes.
- Your pickup choice: which market or appointment, plus the date and time.
- Your order details and total: the flavors and quantities you selected.
- Anything you type into the notes, allergy or custom-request boxes. These are free-text fields, so please share only what is relevant to your order.
Information we do not collect
- No accounts, usernames or passwords; there is nothing to sign up for.
- No card numbers, bank details or payment credentials (see section 4).
- No advertising profiles, no location tracking, no data purchased about you from anyone else.
3. How we use your information
We use what you give us to bake and fulfill your order, confirm details or timing with you, answer your questions, follow up on a custom or party request, and keep basic records of our sales. That is the entire list.
We do not send marketing emails or promotional texts. If that ever changes, we will ask for your permission first, and every message will have a way to opt out.
4. Payments
Card payments are processed by Square. When you check out, you are taken to Square’s own secure payment page to enter your card details. That information goes directly to Square. It never passes through our website, it is never stored there, and we never see your full card number.
Square handles your payment information under its own privacy policy, which you can read at squareup.com/legal/privacy. What we see afterward is the ordinary record of a completed sale: the amount, the date and the last few digits of the card.
5. Cookies and tracking
This site does not use cookies, analytics or tracking of any kind. No Google Analytics, no advertising pixels, no third-party trackers, and nothing stored on your device to follow you between visits. You will not see a cookie banner here because there is nothing to consent to.
Our web host keeps standard server logs (for example, the IP address a request came from) for security and reliability, as essentially every website does. We do not use those logs to build a profile of you.
6. Who else touches your information
We use a small number of service providers to run the site and the bakery. They handle your information on our behalf, and none of them are permitted to sell it.

Beyond these, we share your information only if we are legally required to, or if you ask us to.
We do not sell, rent, trade or share your personal information for anyone else’s marketing.
7. How long we keep it
Order emails and sales records are kept as long as we need them to run the business and meet our tax and accounting obligations, generally a few years. Free-text notes and custom requests are cleared out once the order is complete and any follow-up is done. If you would like your information removed sooner, see section 9.
8. How we protect it
Our site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, payment details go straight to Square rather than to us, and access to the order inbox is limited to the people who run Kevkat Bagels. We keep the amount of information we hold deliberately small, which is the most effective protection of all. That said, no method of transmitting or storing information is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your choices and your rights
You can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, correct anything that is wrong, or delete your information altogether. Email orders@kevkatbagels.com and we will take care of it, normally within 30 days. We will not charge you or treat you differently for asking.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state’s privacy law. We are a small business and most of those laws do not apply to us by their own terms, but we are glad to honor these requests from anyone who asks, wherever you live.
10. Children
This site is meant for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
11. Links to other sites
Our site links out to Square’s checkout and to our social media pages. Once you follow one of those links you are on someone else’s site, governed by their privacy policy rather than this one.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information (for example, if we add online analytics, start an email list, or begin shipping orders), we will update this page and change the effective date at the top. Material changes will be announced on the site.
